In this test, a candidate must find a partner who has also learned the saber and work out five matching practicing routines. Naturally, all of the matching techniques created must follow the saber defensive and offensive theories. |

Qi Xing (Seven Star) is the first White Crane barehand solo sequence. Qi Xing is a short sequence, but it teaches the student the first three basic Jins which a White Crane stylist must master.

San Lu Pao means " Three Ways of Running." It is an advanced Long Fist sequence which trains speed, root, and Jin. To pass this sequence a candidate must have trained his/her sense of enemy, which is what makes the techniques alive. |

Bagua Dao means "Eight Trigram Saber." It originated in the Bagua style, and is considered to be an advanced saber sequence in Long Fist. It leads the student to a higher level of traditional saber practice. |

By this time the student will have learned enough barehand and saber techniques to create a barehand versus saber matching sequence. Working as a team with his/her partner allows the student to analyze the techniques and put them together in a workable sequence. |
